SPECIAL THANKS TO PEPSI AND HARRY CRISP; and the PAXTON FAMILY
We want to let the Community know that Mr. Harry Crisp and Pepsi, and the Edwin J. Paxton Family Foundation (discussed below) have gone “above and beyond” to help this facility.
The Edwin J. Paxton Family Foundation, as well as various members of the Paxton family, have provided significant funding for much needed infrastructure improvements over the past years including including the lake installation which has significantly enhanced our ability to irrigate the course more efficiently… and looks beautiful.
We really appreciate what Mr. Crisp, Pepsi and the Paxton Foundation and Paxton family have done for not only Paxton Park, but also for the many other things they do for our community.
TAX DEDUCTIBLE CONTRIBUTIONS APPRECIATED
Individuals or businesses interested in making tax deductible contributions to the Capital Improvement Fund at Paxton Park may do so by mailing such contributions to: Paxton Park Municipal Golf Course, P.O. Box 7624, Paducah, KY 42002. Any help you could provide is greatly appreciated. This is a facility blessed with great tradition and history and we intend to build on that. While this facility is owned by the City of Paducah, it has been supported and renovated by the Community.
Permanent sponsor and memorial brick pavers are also available for interested parties. For a $100 donation, your name will be engraved on a brick and installed in front of the Starters Booth. The name can be yours or someone you wish to memorialize. Each brick can be engraved on 3 lines of 13 characters per line. Mail your request to the post office box above or come by the Pro Shop. Thank you for your consideration.
Edwin J. Paxton Park was included in the 2008-2009 edition of Golf Digest’s “Best Places To Play” for the first time ever. This is quite an honor. We are grateful to the Golf Digest readers who evaluated the Park in such a positive manner and we are very thankful to the many folks who helped make the renovations possible that led to this honor.
Paxton Park has also been voted the most popular golf course in our area numerous times in the annual Paducah Sun’s Readers Choice Awards.
It would not have been possible without the help of Kenny Perry, Russ Cochran, Burton Banks, Freddie Sanders, Mark Page, Banks Grocery, The Paxton Foundation, City of Paducah, the West Kentucky Trade Unions, and each person who participated in the Tour Players Golf Scramble to Benefit Paxton Park each year it has been held, and the many folks who have purchased memorial brick pavers. There are so many people who have helped make this Community facility better, we cannot possibly list them all … but we are thankful for your help. YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE!
Special recognition goes out to our golf course maintenance crew who work hard to not only maintain the course, but also install many of the renovations themselves. We would also like to thank the many volunteers who help our crew when it is “special project time”…we could not do it without you. THANK YOU!!
